The very first issue I have encountered when I sign up new clients is their lack of a daily routine. The day clearly lacks structure, prompting them to make decisions every step of the way and sometimes giving up on it altogether. This eventually leads to chronic stress because they most definitely have not achieved some tasks, some last minute decisions have not followed through and many tasks just gets carried over to the next day, offsetting the next day’s tasks by a few and so on and so forth.

Aren’t we all going through this? We always seem to be behind on getting things done, are terrified of including something new (like a workout) and yet, we do not stop dreaming about getting fit and healthy; but that goal seems farfetched with the current state of our life.  Have you thought about the kind of stress you put your mind through everyday by living in CHAOS? It can get extremely exhausting and yet I’m genuinely alarmed at how people manage to sail through life like this! With no order, no structure, no scheduling.

You really want to get healthier, fitter, better at work and more present at home with family? Start with building a daily routine first.

  • The human body is a creature of habit, it thrives on a solid routine.
  • With a routine, you are putting certain tasks on auto pilot thereby avoiding decision fatigue ( read my older posts to understand what this is)
  • Keeping a set routine for everyday makes your day STABLE and PREDICTABLE; this automatically keeps your brain calm, helps you be more productive at work because of reduced stress!
  • By having a routine, you can also accomplish more tasks, which gives you a self-esteem boost over time. This pushes you to challenge yourself to accomplish more.
  • When you do not exhaust yourself with multiple decision making scenarios, you also sleep better due to reduced stress.
  • As you progress with consistently following a routine, you feel completely in control of your day, your life and everything around you. You will realize how exhilarating it is! This motivates you to take better care of yourself.
  • Remembering to not overload your day with too many tasks is the key here.

Don’t you want to be the best version of yourself? How much of your potential are you willing to waste by living in chaos?
